Investigation of air-cooled condenser’s operating parameters in modern thermal power plant

Air-cooled condensers in thermal power plants have recently become increasingly popular. Besides all the advantages they have, like no demands for water supply on plant site and need taking care of environmental regulations, also some serious disadvantages. One biggest disadvantages air-cooled do is precisely nature Earth?s atmosphere being their low temperature reservoir. Low density heat capacity air as cooling medium combined with extremely stochastic behavior itself put challenges front condenser?s proper steady functioning. In this paper, operating parameters condenser chosen were investigated to gain a clearer insight into influence atmospheric changes its entropy generation consequently efficiency. Also, acquired results further proposed starting point potential optimization process inside device.
